Go back, look over the first releases of the BCS and the CFP rankings over 2 decades and you'll notice, even a two spot cariationnis incredibly rare. For all raw chatter about what 13 people will do, everyone forgets that when 54 coaching staffs or 60 odd sportswriters aggregate their reasons for ranking who they rank where, the aggregate has made in reality ALL the same assumptions in aggregate. The means everything the committee might weight in a 13 person statistical sampling says the group 4 x the size (writers & Coaches) has made the same assessments and already established the pecking orders. That's why BYU is likely to fall in the 7-9 range, outside 6-10 tomorrow.
This is not a guarantee, but not ranking BYU in that range would be unbelievably weird and unusual in a 29vyear historic perspective.
