Homie and others have many benefits especially saving on commissions and closing cost but most of the issues she has seen dealing with them are:

1) lack of communication....most people will contact my mom during the transaction to get information of the sale.

2) they operate during business hours so good luck getting a hold of anyone late in the evening or on weekends.

3) you get what you pay for. There is different things you can add during the negotiations can be a benefit for you but may be missed because there so many people involved through a service like homie.
