He also shouldn’t be praised for a Twitter apology that doesn’t even state what he did. My point in this is, it is not your place to forgive someone on an issue that doesn’t affect you. Men can’t forgive other men for raping women on behalf of women. Non black people cant forgive others for incidents that affect black people. Another example would be a white person forgiving a slave owner for owning slaves. You can’t do that. Accepting someone’s past and supporting them in making a change is one thing. Issuing out forgiveness is another.
