Basketball and football are completely different sports. It’s not hard to get

a couple players to go to Kentucky who absolutely dominate their opponents. Look at Lebrun. Whatever team he’s on wins. Same thing in college basketball. A couple EXCEPTIONAL recruits (of which there are few) can change a whole program.

It’s much harder to get 22 exceptional players and backups to go to the same school unless the opportunities for success are removed from half of college football.
