Not much of a story. I started a lithium battery company after college.
Goal was to make them for semis, construction trucks, etc. One battery could theoretically replace the 3-4 a semi runs and last 2x longer. We had the lithium cells, kinda had the exterior design done, and the electronics. Problem was 1) no distribution channels, 2) we would’ve had to charge like $800 for a single battery to make a decent margin. So after a year working on it, we sold our electrical system design for about what we put into the company and shut ‘er down. Learned a lot about batteries though.

Oh, we did have someone interested in investing, but he wanted to be the ceo. And me, being a know it all 23-yo, didn’t want to give up the ceo title. Now, I don’t know if the guy would’ve actually followed through, but looking back, it was quite stupid of me to care about being the ceo of a 3-man company.
