I like opening nights.. here are some of mine

Return of the Jedi 83, I was 7, mom saw the line for the theater wrapped around the building opening weekend, she found a family in line I knew from school, and left me with them for 4-5 hours, as she did groceries and and collected my family to join up. I was huge die hard fan as kids as were most.

Batman 89, packed show, only 1 showing on opening night in town, people were in their seats for hours beforehand, with best friend, what a fun crowd.

Jurassic Park 93, at drive-in on my dad's work trucks combing around the news TV was there and they asked my dad if these were all his kids, he said 12 of were as we were climbing all over the trucks.

Independence day 96 : skipped BOM class at the Y, was fun movie when you had no clue what was going to happen.

Iron Man 08, with my dad remember turning to him and saying this is awesome. Great start to nice franchise of marvel.

Avengers movies with the kids opening night, fun times big events
Star wars marathon - stayed awake, my kids not so much
Frozen- remember leaving saying that was good, no idea that music would never go away
