As I have suggested before, we would be wise to continue these masking and distancing practices every flu/virus season.
Not for the whole year — the economy would be in trouble if we did that!

But every November through April or so (and during summer in the Southern Hemisphere), it would behoove us all to mask up, distance away, sanitize and lower capacity at our normally full events. I am not saying to shut down anything, just have smaller capacity and space everybody out.

This would save tens, nay, hundreds of thousands of lives each year who normally die of influenza, RSV, norovirus, rotavirus, hantavirus, adenovirus... the list goes on. If this pandemic has taught us anything, it has taught us that our actions make a difference.

It would be a little inconvenient, but I for one am willing to be inconvenienced a little for the public good... are you??
