But his shooting limitations have been a big hinderance. He's not the facilitator nor the shooter that should justify the time he plays over a ball-handling wing like Johnson, imo. And he can't stop tall guards all that well — as tonight showed.
Why this can't be our base lineup, I just don't understand: 1: Barcello/Averett - 2: Johnson/Barcello - 3: Harding/Knell/George.
Frankly, I'd like to see a LOT more George, too. Who doesn't? I think I understand that Pope sees a real high ceiling in him & wants to limit his minutes until he gets a better feel for the offense. Even still, it suck to watch him sit so much in games like tonight — when he can be the obvious X factor.
We sorely missed Johnson's D tonight, too. Which makes me believe he's the one (probably along with Connor) who's being disciplined.
