I never cited any metrics in my original comment. "Played better" is pretty

vague and can be defined in a lot of ways. You chose to define it in an overly superficial and simplistic way. The fact that you still refuse to control for something as simple as points scored PER MINUTE PLAYED implicitly shows you know your argument has no real merit. Controlling for things as simple as points per possession/minute or strength of schedule are basic and necessary for analyzing any performance, individual or team.
