Yep. When I refinanced late last year...
...my plan was to put the difference into extra mortgage payments and pay off my mortgage faster.
Then, as I thought about it, I realized that with a mortgage rate under 3%, why not drop that extra money into even a basic index fund - let it build and if I reach the point I want to pay off the mortgage I'll do it even more quickly than if I'd made extra payments.
