He isn’t amazing at play calling, we all know that. But IMO he designed a great offense for the personnel we have. He did something that Both Doman and TD tried but failed to do successfully run a pro-style offense (relatively speaking), where they can run it down your throat and then kill you with play action
Most of all he’s a great manager, who will be respected and love by his players. Not many OCs would be humble enough to hand over the passing game to another coach and also recognize their own deficiencies with play calling and give some of those duties to Roderick. Not Saying Roderick called all the plays this year, just saying he definitely helped some. Grimes will be a Lavell style coach IMO, managing the team and surrounding himself with an excellent coaching staff.
