Pope is openly very analytics-driven, which means he will prioritize three point shooting at every position. But he also knows the value of length and athleticism.
For the first few years, he will have to adapt to the personnel that was already in the program and the best immediate transfers he could get. Last year, that meant going all in on spacing and outscoring opponents. This year, it means dominating points in the paint and shutting down opposing teams.
It will likely take 5-6 years for Pope to really get his recruits into his system and develop them into experienced upperclassmen, especially when you factor in missions at BYU and BYU's limited recruiting pool. Only then can we really draw significant conclusions about Pope's style and ceiling.
