I double checked and my settings say it should only go into sleep mode but anytime the lid is closed for more than 10 minutes I have to completely boot up again. Opening up any applications that had documents open provides recovery options for documents, etc so I'm not losing anything (usually already saved anyway) but my time...

Not the first set of Win 10 updates in the last 4 months to cause weird problems.
