Did you adjust the settings for both plugged in and on battery?
I normally set "Close lid" to "do nothing" when plugged in and "sleep" when on battery. Bec normally I'd have it connected to a dock or external monitors if it's plugged in.

I'd still recommend running that command to disable hibernation.
