I think parents can and certainly should talk about and teach finances,
in an evolving, age appropriate way.

My kids are all under eight, but we talk about financial concepts with them all the time. It usually centers around how much money a toy or candy or puppy would cost, but it provides ample opportunity to have conversations and sets the stage for talking and teaching more as they get older.

Why shouldn't I talk to them about investing and retirement accounts?
