I grew up in a comfortable home and my dad did quite well but we weren't loaded or anything. We saved for vacations, never drove a new car, etc. but also never worried about money really. My parents never talked finances with us. The standard line was "we are blessed to have sufficient for our needs" or something like that. My kids are much more interested in financial stuff than I ever was...especially my two oldest when they took a class called "Math of Personal Finance." So I talk to them about how we are set up for retirement, what some of our financial goals are, how we manage the household, etc. but without too much detail. I'm curious what others on the board have done with their kids as they have graduated college and started careers?
