The two seeds from the top 16 teams release were Illinois, Villanova, Houston, and alabama. These won't be the two seeds when we play but give us a good measuring stick to see the competition we will ikely face. Illinois is 15-5, with a loss to Rutgers, and a two point win vs university of ohio (from the MAC). Villanova is 13-3 with an 11 point loss to St. Johns (we beat them this year). Houston is 17-4 with losses to tulsa and witchita state. Alabama is 17-5 with stanford beating them by 18 and western kentucky beating them by 2.
Besides the 1 seeds, every single team on the field has had bad games this season and are liable to have a bad game in the tournament. There's definitely a chance if we are in the 7-10 game.
