San Antonio is fantastic, especially north of the temple right on the Bexar/Coma
county line.
Hill country (gorgeous and tons of outdoor activities)
Guadalupe River close (beautiful)
Canyon Lake close
SAT is super easy drive
15 mins to temple
no city taxes
Great food
and San Antonio along the River walk is beautiful
If you have kids 6 flags, sea world, a 4 hour drive to the #1 beach in Texas at South Padre Island (sea turtles, light houses, beautiful sand barrier beaches)
We picked it over Round Rock (Austin) and Katy and love it
