I’m thinking of moving my family in the next year. I work remotely so it can be anywhere with a major airport.

I’d consider Austin over San Antonio, or even Katy.

Seems like Austin is quite a bit more expensive. On the surface, for an hour drive, doesn’t seem worth it.

I was working remotely well before Covid. My line of work require travel but very seldom do I need to be in office.
