I think the 2018 Raptors are the best comparison

A couple of all-stars who are very good and can win you lots of games, but lacking the top end talent that (almost) every championship team has had.

It’s not a perfect comparison, because I think Gobert/Mitchell is a better tandem than Lowry/Derozan, but I have doubts on their ability to beat Lebron, despite his team possibly finishing outside the top 3 in the conference.
