and any other entity. That is no a liberal stand it is an accounting stand. The federal government does not print all the money into existence, most of it is just done by computer ledger. States and below can not do this by law. Now I don't advocate creating too big of a money supply, but every time we have run a budget surplus we have entered a recession. The goal of the federal government is to create money, send it out into the economy and try to collect as much as possible back in taxes. It is not to tax and then spend.
