And why do we care about labels? Why is that the driving factor? The dual threat label is also a very overrated one in terms of how they used to reference it... IOW, QB who you expect to be a runner, not just "mobile." Those QBs don't really add the value that CB seems to think. Especially if it's not being added on top of already being a fantastic passer. Taysom wasn't any more valuable than Wilson or Beck or Hall or any of those guys. Because he wasn't adding his extra threat on top of being a great QB, a great passer.
This board loves to exaggerate just how valuable it is to be a runner at QB. I don't care if he is a threat to rush for a hundred yards in a game. I care that he's a great decision maker, has great timing and accuracy, great vision, good enough arm strength, and then the legs to extend plays, however necessary (preferably by buying time to throw), but only if necessary.
I see "oh he's better because he's so dynamic with running." Ok, well if that person isn't anything else, they're not necessarily better.
Conover can move. He's not stuck in one spot. He has great feet and good enough athleticism to buy himself time or to run for a first down.
