Story about saving a pet -
My dad grew up as a homesteader in Wyoming. Didn’t have indoor plumbing until he went to BYU. Rancher and dry farmer. Before school he’d hunt for dinner.

My sister-in-law grew up in Alpine and she is fantastic.

SIL told us a story about how as a child her $300 parakeet got out of the cage and was attacked by the family cat. Bird got mangled and the vet Bill to save it was $750. My dad couldn’t stop laughing at the fact that they paid $750 to keep a $300 pet that had been mangled by the other pet.

His words: “we just had a different way of dealing with injured animals how I grew up.”

People have different perspectives.
