This year they chose to go with the guy who accumulated so much talent they practically did not need a coach to skate by with ease in WCC play. I am guessing non-conference played into it as the way they smashed good teams was impressive. It is whatever they want, and even though he did more with less this year I am more upset that he did not win it last year. They both exceeded expectations (probably not by as much as this year) as well as presented a real challenge for Gonzaga. This team is more consistent, but the battle for second was also easier. Again, so subjective.
