There are obviously bigger markets in the west that would be more lucrative and desirable for extremely wealthy young men to go (Las Vegas, Seattle). These places would also bring the league a lot more revenue.

The stereotype that Utah is nothing but racist white mormons is clearly alive and well among the players. Any time there’s a small dust up between visiting players and fan(s) it immediately becomes a racial thing — regardless of what was actually said.
