The NCAA blackout period has been extended 14 months.. 2021/22 class got screwed
* Coaches couldn't visit schools
* Couches couldn't visit games in person
* Kids were not allowed college visits
* College Camps have been canceled
* Nike Combines, Group Camps, 7-on-7 tournaments.. all canceled last year. (No 'Best of the West' in Utah)
* The 2020 High School season was... tricky.
It was hard for 2021 kids to get noticed... and it has been harder for the 2022 kids.
To make matters worse, More players entered the transfer portal this year than HS players signed with schools in 2021. 2022 kids have to compete for scholarships against seasoned (experienced & older) D1 players.
I think you'll see 2022 kids commit at a faster rate than in the past.
