As others have said, it's regional.
In Mexico and I believe Central America, it's mostly a Y sound although the occasional Mexican Elder would sometimes say it with a J sound, but not consistently. So it might technically be in between a Y and J sound but leaning more towards Y in Mexico.

It is regional. The most important thing you can know about Bolivian Spanish is their rr is a soft z sound.
