Yes, it’s done all the time. At certain points in my career when I had zero
interest in leaving my current employer, I’ve turned down requests.
And in the coaching world, it’s also done all the time. If there is zero interest, they turn down requests all the time.
Pope interviewing with Arizona just confirms he doesn’t view BYU as his final destination, at least not presently. That’s not a bad thing for BYU as it means we’ll continue to get his best effort for the full time he’s here.
