Let's be honest. P12, no HC, more openness to recruiting...his could have more success there. On top of that likely get paid more money.

We all love BYU, I get it. Let's be honest, BYU is not an easy job. Pope wants to win and go big time. BYU won't get there given some headwinds, we will have big years but not a top tier school every year (sorry). He thought long and hard before accepting BYU's offer and had other conversations to see what else was out there first. I think he is realistic about the BYU ceiling, but he will maximize our abilities but also look too grow himself too.

To be clear, I support him and understand his views. I wish he was a lifer at BYU but doing a great and moving to a better opportunity making more money is understandable. Not sure how many don't understand this.
