Most retirement calculators make assumptions that are impractical. Like if the
market tanks it doesn't adjust your spend and in most scenarios you would cut back.
IOW, if you put in real world actions that you might take, the number of 70% probably jumps to 90% plus pretty quickly.

I use madfientist's calculator in my own spreadsheet and it matches up pretty closely with the PC planner
