We told him to cut his trees and he told us we could cut his trees from our side if we had a problem. So we did that and then his giant dog started digging under and through the fence until it got in our yard a couple times and attacked our chickens. At that point he said we should split the cost of a fence (which wasn’t in bad shape except for the problems he was creating). We just did it. Then after the new fence was in, he redid his whole backyard with a pool and cut down all the huge evergreens that blocked our view of his house and put an invisible fence along the new fence so his dog now won’t dig under it. Idiot neighbors like that are the worst.
