I've wondered what's more dangerous, riding a road bike or mtn..
It seems like majority of mtn bikers I know have had nasty spills, and a lot with broken bones.
And I don't hear as many friends with the amount of crashes on road bikes.
I have a theory that perhaps road bikers have fewer crashes but when they do they're more extreme and mtn bikers have more crashes but not as lethal results...? idk

I think the Trek Marlin is a great line. Not too expensive but plenty capable for the casual mountain biker.
