While I agree the TV money would most likely be more than they currently bring in, people always forget about OU's separate third tier tv right deal that brings in usually well over $5+ Million/year, if money really was a concern OU has plenty of booster to help out on that front.
Only Alabama, Clemson, and Ohio St, have been to more CFP's than OU. OU is one of the top 5 programs in all of College Football right now. It's hard to get more prestigious than that.
Making your chances of getting to the CFP significantly harder when OU is already in a great situation is crazy. The risk is not worth the reward, IMO.
