I remember this like yesterday. 1993 NBA Playoffs, Suns (1 seed) versus Lakers (8 seed). Suns down 0-2. Coach Paul Westphal, after the game two loss, proclaims the Suns will go to Los Angeles, win “Tuesday, the next game’s Thursday we’ll win there, then we’ll come back and win the series on Sunday and everyone will say what a great series it was.”

It was pretty epic. Great series too. I think it was Shaq’s first year. Suns employed the “hack-a-Shaq” strategy because he couldn’t hit a free throw to save his life.
