I have a PhD and I’d agree for me. I know A LOT about one area but

I wouldn’t consider myself anything but “slightly above average” intelligence. But I am a good teacher and therapist for whatever that’s worth as it pertains to intelligence.

Many of my colleagues are extremely intelligent but some about where I am. You can’t really get through the majority of PhD programs without having at least an average level of intelligence.
