The College Football Playoff management committee will consider expanding to a 12-team format that would include the six highest-ranked conference champions and the next six highest-ranked teams, according to a proposal obtained by ESPN.

The no-auto bids (after Conference champions) is big considering the current state of NY6 Bowls.
