And probably still missed out; this doesn't help BYU unless we join a conference
Last year (as things actually played out) it would have been
1. Alabama (SEC Champ)
2. Clemson (ACC Champ)
3. Ohio State (Big 10 Champ)
4. Notre Dame (At Large 1)
5. Texas A&M (At Large 2)
6. Oklahoma (Big 12 Champ)
7. Florida (At Large 3)
8. Cincy (AAC Champ)
9. Georgia (At Large 4)
10. Iowa State (At Large 5)
11. Indiana (At Large 6)
12. Coastal Carolina (Sun Belt Champ)
If we hadn't played Coastal Carolina, without BYU being a conference champion, it still wouldn't have been enough to jump Indiana. So the at-large teams would have been the same, only difference is that either Coastal Carolina would have made it (with a lower rank) or that Louisiana might have jumped them (unlikely)
