It was a really big complex and garages are below all the apts and spread out

It was also next to a big road so there was always at least some background road noise too.

They can do it so fast and get out of there so that by the time anyone cares to check it out they are long gone. They were careful to spread out across garages through the whole complex and not just stay in any one area.

Safe to say, not their first rodeo.
