Big 12/Pac 12 merger makes little sense now, it made sense in 2010-2011

but now, why? If the 12 team playoff is accepted, both conferences benefit from being separate. If they were to stay with a four team playoff, then maybe it makes sense to merge, but I don't buy the super conference idea anymore. B1G ACC, and SEC should stay at 14. Big 12 and Pac 12 should try to expand to make them stronger and more appealing as a P5 conference. But a merger makes no sense.
