That’s not what the term means in a football setting

The term dissected is used to describe a QB that picked apart a defense making great reads, adjustments, and incredible throws. Romney ran a couple trick plays and through to whoever Grimes told him to throw to. He didn’t dissect anything. What he did do was listen to his coach and not make mistakes.

He had a very good game for a 3rd string freshman. He didn't make any costly mistakes and he made some good throws

Romney didn't dissect Boise at all. His TD passes were on trick plays. Rest of the game was very soso. Same with Liberty

15/26 for 221 and 2 TDs on trick plays isn't necessarily dissecting anything.
