My Dad and Bro are builders in Az and thats how they do it.

With all the craziness going on they get calls with people making offers on homes he is currently building. He only takes the offer if it seems super high to him and in the agreement there are no upgrades/changes form the original plan.

He hates building with the home already sold as the family always has expectations and wants to make changes.
