False - If the AAC locks up the 6th championship spot the first few years of the playoff without BYU, then BYUs value will begin to fade away. BYU will have lost it's opportunity.
Simply look at what independence has provided you with respect to national relevancy! If it wasn't for a worldwide pandemic, you have not been relevant at all on the college football landscape.
