But you could argue the AAC is stronger with Cincinatti, Houston, Memphis, S Florida, and Central Florida and their performance over the last 10 years compared to the MWC which has been Boise and oh, maybe someone will try and be #2.

Best case for BYU would be if they joined the AAC, Boise and Army joined to make it 14. BYU and Boise bring credibility and strengthen the conference all around. Army brings another east coast team, they pair well with Navy, and pretty much the rest of the AAC.
