My daughter was diagnosed at 2 and we got sick of fielding questions about what we did to cause it (too much juice, candy, etc). I constantly have to remind myself that until she was diagnosed I really didn't know any better either. We wish they were named differently. I've also got Type 2 in my family, so I try to be well versed in both.
