The sales and engineering fields in tech companies are filled with

People making 200k+ who don't have college degrees.

Not an outlier - there are quite a few jobs out there that the employer doesn't care about college degree. Particularly in tech and with many other trades. If you decide not to get a degree then you need to be smart about career choice. Plenty of opportunity for non college grads to get ahead with experience instead of a degree.
