NPs and PAs can be very good providers. I would recommend joining a
group practice first so she can undergo an apprenticeship of sorts for 5 years or so-- going out solo would be unwise in my opinion. For lack of a better phrase, she doesn't know what she doesn't know yet. Nursing itself does not provide enough experience for true medical decision making and forming a differential. I am not against NP's, indeed I have taken many as students. As long as they work with willing physicians they can be excellent providers.
