Refusing to play ND in Vegas, which could be a really cool experience for all involved, would perhaps strengthen that narrative.
"But, but, but they owe us" - Sorry, ND does not need to schedule BYU to further their program. Period. They could pull out of BYU and play the Buffalo Bills in Scotland tomorrow.
I think some BYU fans would rather ND pay BYU to not play. How does that benefit us as fans? Do we see any of that refund in the form of dividends or something? When would righteous indignation in the form of a check be better than watching BYU beat The Irish in Vegas? You stick it to them by beating them. End of story.
You the play the games, and Vegas is as close to a home game as it gets outside of Provo. You play the game. Create good will within the football community, get a great game and maybe it opens up opportunities for later down the road with ND or other big dogs when they see the spectacle that BYU/ND in Vegas would create.
