I mean, people are typically more attracted to their own race than people of other races are, but I think all people are
attracted to attractive people. I think people are more likely to marry someone similar to themselves in terms of overall desirability, but it’s not like average or ugly people aren’t attracted to the most beautiful people. We just get what we can get, and that usually ends up being people similar to us.
I think in terms of physical attractiveness it’s easier for a guy to punch above his weight than a girl though. Money does it, as has been discussed. As does importance, or even just being really smart confident and funny.
You regularly see average guys with much more attractive wives. The inverse doesn’t seem to be as common.
Seems like the visual aspect of attraction is more important is harder to overcome with ancillary factors in the male brain than the female.
