Yes, but when you really start digging - BYU and Liberty ended up ranked higher than normal vs SOS last year due to Covid. Really good for BYU and ( exceptional for LU in our young FBS life) the way things shook out. But throw that out as an anomaly and zero in on a 12 team playoff. An undefeated BYU schedule based on last years original schedule ( not the Covid schedule ) - you are in no matter what. 1 loss ? Not so sure... If I am the BYU AD, I am eliminating all FCS games, looking at exposure on same weekend as Conference Champ week and wouldn’t thumb my nose at DFW annual game for recruiting. If it isn’t Liberty, maybe Army, UConn?
