I come from a more traditional banking background, but there were a lot of engineers in my class. They were almost all very high caliber people and many have since moved into executive roles, product management roles, even a couple CEO’s, etc.
My take is if you are an idiot, you turn into an idiot with an mba and a lot of debt. Don’t waste your time.
If you are already smart, however, you will have doors opened by your degree and those you studied with and are now part of your network.
This was BYU so I do think the quality was better than the average local university. If you are in Utah, or even the west, look into BYU’s executive program. We had several people who would fly in for the weekend to go to class and they still saved money over many other programs.
